On the race course JT is intense without being overbearing. He seeks input and is deferential and humble. He is also proactive when it comes time to get something done. JT does not shy away from the tough jobs, often volunteering to do them himself if in doing so it furthers the objectives. There are very few coaches that have the breadth and depth of his experience, whether it’s in dinghies, inshore keelboats, in endurance racing, or offshore racing. He is a consummate professional.
